After my daughter saw the new wallpaper in Mummy and Daddys room she quickly decided that she would like some gold in her bedroom too and that it should be Polkadots! So yet again im breaking my no wallpaper rule, I had a search and found this fab Gold Polkadot design made by Graham and Brown, my daughter loves it and so do I. You can purchase it from Debenhams, much like the Geometric wallpaper in my bedroom it has a lovely sheen to it and kinda sparkles when the sunlight hits it. After I put the wallpaper up, I thought why stop there! So I sat down with Belle and asked her what art she would like in her room, she answered Baby Animals…We went online to one of my favourite websites Desenio and Picked out the cutest baby animals we could find and this is what we come up with.
Cute overload! The Dont Grow Up poster is also from Desenio, I upcycled the old bookcase with Pink Champagne furniture paint from Rust-oleum, the green Cactus money box is from Primark and the pink guitar was off Santa♥
Would you look what happened, shes pinched my Pink Rocking Chair from the dining room, after several “Please Mummy” I gave in…I cant deny my girl Pink when she asks for it, the apple dosnt fall far from the tree does it? I may be creating a monster, her future husband had better be as forgiving as mine ;0) The Book box was actually an old Newspaper Rack again upcycled with Pink Champagne. The wardrobes and shelves (formally spice racks from Ikea) were painted with Cotton White furniture Paint By Rust-oleum.
The day bed was originally a dark beige colour, but I gave it a new brighter, whiter look with the same Cotton white. So that’s the little tour of my girls polkadotty room, hope you all like it, my teen boy is now on my case to redecorate his room, sadly there will be no polkadots and definately no pink…those are my sons words!
