Syrup, in a cake! That is all kinds of right! Golden Syrup is something we always have in the cupboard, the kids love it on their morning pancakes. I cannot tell you just how delicious this cake is! You’ll just have to try it!
How to Make Golden Syrup Cake

Ingredients
- Golden Syrup
- Butter
- Caster Sugar
- Egg
- Milk
- Self- Raising Flour
- Golden Syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 160°c (140 fan)and line a loaf tin with baking paper
- Put the golden syrup, butter and sugar in a pan and melt on a low heat.
- Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Whisk together the egg and milk and then mix into the cooled syrup mixture.
- Now stir in the flour and mix well with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the loaf tin and bake for 50-60 minutes.
- While the cake is still warm brush on some golden syrup for that delicious sticky glaze

Golden Syrup Cake

200 g Golden Syrup
100 g Butter
100 g Caster Sugar
1 Egg
150 ml Milk
200 g Self- Raising Flour
3 tbsp Golden Syrup
