This dish is not only delicious and quick, but perfect for last minute guests, impromptu movie nights, picnics, barbeques, buffets…you name it! An adaptable dish for a vast array of occasions.
A Little Bagel History
Bagels first got their Start in Poland back in the 14th Century. German Immigrants had brought with them a feast day bread named Pretzel. The Pretzel soon morphed from a twisted shape into a round bread with a hole in the middle. Since then we have been obsessed with this quirky bread and continue to find new and interesting ways to eat it!

Bear in mind, the thinner you cut your pieces, the crispier they will be, as a guide mine were around 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch thickness. They also air fry quicker when skinnier- Should you choose to opt for chunkier pieces you will want to extend the cooking time by a minute or 2
Ingredients

- 1 Bagel
- Olive Oil
- Grated Parmesan
- Garlic and Herb Seasoning
- Onion Salt
- Fresh Parsley ( You can use dried parsley if that’s all you have to hand)
- Cracked Black pepper
- Sea Salt
method
- Slice the bagel and place the pieces in a mixing bowl
- Add the olive oil and toss until the pieces are coated
- Add the Parmesan, Garlic and herb seasoning and onion salt and toss again
- Add the Parsley and season with black pepper and sprinkle with sea salt and gently mix all the ingredients together

- Place the Bites in the Air fryer basket and set to Air fry ,180c for 7-8 minutes, shake/turn halfway through
- Drizzle with garlic and herb dressing (caesar salad dressing works well too) and serve!
Top tips for Making Bagel Bites
- Try to make sure each bagel bite are similar in size. This is so they all cook evenly, and at the same time
- Coat well with Olive oil, for that delicious satisfying Crunch
- Season well and stir, make sure each slice has an equal share of flavour
- Give them a shake half way through, for a nice even bake

Serving Suggestions For Bagel Bites
Dips– I sometimes love to eat these like I would Doritos! Pile a load on a plate and dip them in Salsa, Sour Cream and Chive, Melted Cheese! Just Heaven!
Soups- Great with Vegetable soup, Tomato Soup, Chicken Soup
Stews- Float or dip in Corned Beef Hash or Chicken/Beef Stew
Chilli Con Carne– Serve alongside a hot Chilli!
Salads– Caesar of Course! But any plant based salad would benefit from the texture and flavour of these homemade Bagel Bites

How Long Will Bagel Bites Keep?
Best eaten the same day, but will store well in an Airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days
