How To Make Tear & Share Apple Cinnamon loaf

This Apple Cinnamon Loaf is a delightful autumnal doughy bake. A real feel good, sit beside the fire kind of treat. Pulling back the layers releases the spiced apple scent, perfect for sharing…but only if you want to!

How to make Tear and Share Apple and Cinnamon loaf

Ingredients

For the Dough

  • Plain flour
  • Warm water
  • Quick action yeast
  • Salt
  • Softened Butter
  • Honey

For the Cinnamon Sugar Filling

  • Soft brown sugar
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Softened Butter (for spreading)
  • 2 Apples (cored, peeled & diced)

For the drippy icing

  • Icing Sugar
  • Water
  • A dash of Vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a bowl add the warm water, honey, salt & yeast and stir, set aside for 5-10 minutes. Then add the softened butter & flour, stir until a dough forms
  • Turn out onto a floured surface, knead for 5 minutes until soft & stretchy.
  • Shape into a ball, allow to stand for 10 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough into a large rectangle
  • Spread the softened butter over the entire surface of the Dough
  • Mix the brown sugar & cinnamon together, then sprinkle on top
  • Scatter the apple chunks on top of the sugar
  • Slice into 8 rectangles, then stack. Finally slice into 4 equal sections ( see video)
  • Stuff into a lined loaf tin ( see video)
  • Cover with cling film, allow to rise for 1 hour
  • Pop in the oven at 180°c 40-45 minutes.
  • Once the loaf is cooled, mix together the icing sugar, water & vanilla essence, until you have a gloopy consistency…drizzle and serve.

Wrap and store at room temperature for up to 3 days

  • 1 x 7g Sachet of Quick action yeast
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 40 g Softened Butter
  • 1 tbsp Honey

For the Cinnamon Sugar Filling

  • 90 g Soft brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp Softened Butter (for spreading)
  • 2 Apples (cored, peeled & diced)

For the drippy icing

  • 30 g Icing Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • A dash of Vanilla extract
