Buttery Garlic and Herb Mini Baguettes

Ingredients

For The Dough

  • 360 g White Bread Flour
  • 1 x 7g Sachet of Quick Action Yeast
  • 240 ml Warm Water (Not hot it will kill the yeast)
  • 45 g Melted Unsalted Butter
  • 2 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Salt

For The Butter Glaze

  • 45 g Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Salt (Only if using Unsalted Butter)
  • 2 grated Garlic Cloves
  • 1/4 tsp Mixed Italian Herbs

Instructions

  • Gather and Weigh all Your Ingredients
  • Add The Bread Flour and Yeast to a bowl and stir together with a wooden spoon until combined
  • Add the salt, Sugar and warm water and mix again with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms
  • Melt The butter in the microwave for a few seconds and allow to cool a little. Add the cooled melted Butter to the dough and fold in with your hands or use a rubber spatula
  • Turn out the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes until smooth and stretchy
  • Place the dough into a lined or oiled bowl or a proving bowl, cover and allow to rise for 90 minutes until doubled in size
  • Once risen turn out the dough onto the counter and divide into 8 portions
  • Roll each piece into log-like shapes and place them on to a lined baking tray. Cover loosely with cling film and let them rise a second time for 1 hour
  • Preheat the Oven to 200 c
  • Bake in The Oven for 10-14 minutes until golden brown and the base of the bread drums hollow. Make the Butter Glaze while they bake...
  • Add The Butter, Salt, Herbs and garlic to a small saucepan and cook on a low heat until the butter has melted.
  • Remove the Baguettes from the Oven and Brush immediately with the warm Butter Glaze....Be Generous!
  • Can Be eaten Cold...But best served warm!
